Students will be given all supplies needed for this elective.

Explore the expressive possibilities of printmaking through hands-on work with traditional printing processes. You’ll discover how artists use ink, pressure, texture, and layered imagery to create prints with distinctive visual qualities.

Over the four-week session, you’ll be introduced to screen printing, woodblock relief, monoprinting, intaglio, and collagraph. Through guided demonstrations and studio practice, you’ll explore the mark-making possibilities of each method while developing your technical skills and personal style.

You’ll create both editioned prints and experimental works, learning how repetition and variation can shape an image. Along the way, you’ll build confidence working with printmaking tools and materials as you develop your own artistic voice.

What You’ll Create

You’ll develop a portfolio of original prints using a range of printmaking methods. Your collection will include editioned and experimental works that showcase your exploration of line, texture, color, and composition.
