The Art & Design Experience

Explore your creative interests through hands-on studio work in drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed materials. This four-week intensive builds foundational skills in visual art and design while helping you develop your own artistic voice.

Working in 2D and 3D, you’ll experiment with materials, develop original ideas, and learn to discuss your work through supportive feedback from faculty and peers. You’ll connect with other young artists and experience the creative process in a college studio environment.

Portfolio Development

Friday mornings focus on building a portfolio for college applications. You’ll select and refine your work, practice explaining your creative decisions, and learn how to present your artistic interests and strengths. Faculty feedback will help you identify your strongest pieces and opportunities to develop your work further.

The intensive concludes with a student-curated gallery show for family and friends.

What You’re Registering For

This registration covers the four-week morning intensive only, Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–noon. Afternoon electives and housing are registered for separately.

You can take the morning intensive on its own or add afternoon electives to build a full-day program.

Interested in Housing?
