Students ages 12–14 will build confidence and develop audition skills in a supportive, creative environment. Working with a professional actor, they’ll explore how to prepare, choose material, and bring their own personality to a musical theater audition.
Through personalized coaching and performance exercises, students will practice making clear acting choices, listening and responding, and connecting with an audience. They’ll learn how preparation and organization can help them feel more comfortable sharing their work.
Mock auditions will give students opportunities to practice the process, receive constructive feedback, and try again. Whether they’re preparing for a school production, community theater audition, or future training, they’ll develop tools they can carry into their next performance opportunity.
What Students Will Prepare
Students will select and rehearse audition material suited to their age, interests, and strengths. The course will conclude with a final showcase where they’ll share their progress and put their preparation into practice.
