Summer@Cornish is a four-week intensive running July 12–August 6, giving high school students a mini-college experience at Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. Students create and showcase original work, explore electives beyond their primary art form, and build skills for further study and careers in the arts.

The Digital Design Experience

The full-time Digital Design Intensive brings together creativity and technology through screen-based and interactive projects. Mornings introduce user experience and interface design (UX/UI), interactive media, motion, and game systems. Students explore digital workflows and emerging tools while learning how design shapes the way people experience and interact with technology.

Afternoon electives offer opportunities to explore game art and design, digital illustration, motion graphics, UX/UI, digital fabrication and 3D design, or AI for artists and designers. Students can deepen their digital skills or explore other creative interests through studio arts and interdisciplinary electives.

Fridays focus on portfolio development. Students work with faculty and professional artists to refine their projects, communicate their creative process, and prepare for college applications. By the end of the program, students will develop two to three portfolio-ready digital or interactive projects that reflect their interests and growing design skills.

Full-Time and Part-Time Options

Students can attend the full-time program or choose the Morning Intensive, one afternoon elective, or two afternoon electives.

Tuition and Scholarships

Afternoon electives start at $730, and the Morning Intensive is $3,160. Register before March 1 to receive a 10% discount.
