Summer@Cornish is a four-week intensive running July 12–August 6, giving high school theater students a mini-college experience at Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. Students create and showcase original work, explore electives beyond theater, and build skills for further study and careers in the arts.

The Musical Theater Experience

The full-time program explores theater production through writing, singing, acting, and collaboration. Mornings in the Musical Theater Intensive focus on creating and performing original musicals.

Afternoons offer electives in costume design, stage combat, dance, music, theater, or film. Fridays focus on audition techniques, performance practice, and college application preparation.

The program concludes with a performance of an original musical, along with monologues and solos, for family and friends.

Full-Time and Part-Time Options

Students can attend the full-time program or choose a part-time option through the Morning Intensive or an afternoon elective.

A residential option is available to full-time students.

Tuition & Scholarships

Tuition varies by program. Afternoon electives start at $730, and the morning intensive is $3,160. Register before March 1 to receive 10% off full tuition. Need-based tuition scholarships are available.
