July 7 - August 1, 2025
4-Week Program

OVERVIEW

Summer@Cornish is a 4-week intensive program offering high school students a mini-college experience at Cornish College of the Arts. Located in Seattle's South Lake Union, students will explore the city while honing their artistic talents.

The curriculum prepares students for future arts careers. Rather than focusing on just one discipline or existing works, students create and perform new work, with the opportunity to take electives beyond their primary artform.

Program Design

Full-Day
Students start their day with an intensive in their chosen discipline—art & design, music, film, musical theater, or dance. Afternoons feature electives, encouraging students to explore creative interests in or outside their core area. Fridays focus on portfolio development for college applications and personal projects.

Summer@Cornish Residency
Residential students stay at Cornish Commons, with evening and weekend activities, plus additional studio/practice time. For more on the Residency Program, check the FAQs on our blog. Sign up for our Info Session Webinar on November 14 at 4PM here.

Half-Day
Part-time students can customize their experience by attending morning intensives, afternoon electives, or a single elective. Residential options are not available for part-time students.

Tuition

Electives start at $730, and the Morning Intensive is $3160. Register by March 1 for a 10% discount. Need-based scholarships are available here.

”I loved the program. When I went in I knew almost nothing about film and the program did an excellent job preparing me for other projects I wanted to work on. Summer at Cornish gave me insight on what art education could be like and inspired the idea of pursuing film.”
