Art & Design 4-Week Program

Summer@Cornish is a 4-week intensive program from July 6 – July 31, 2026, offering high school arts students a mini-college experience at Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University in Seattle’s South Lake Union. Rather than only focus on one discipline or perform only existing works, all students create and perform or showcase new work, and have the opportunity to take electives outside of their primary artform.

The Art & Design Intensive full-day program is designed to provide a comprehensive foundation in visual arts. Students begin their day with an intensive in core fundamentals with 2D drawing and painting techniques, as well as 3D object design. Afternoon electives allow students to explore and expand their creative interests. Fridays are designed for portfolio development for real world artist skills and college applications to give the students a realistic viewpoint of what being a career artist is about.  Summer@Cornish FAQ for more information.

Part-time half-day programs are available. Students are able to select either a morning intensive, or afternoon elective.

Residential options are available for full program students. Learn more here.

Tuition

Tuition varies by type of program. Electives start at $730. The Morning Intensive is $3160.  Receive 10% off the full tuition by registering before March 1. Tuition needs-based scholarships are available here.
