Film Intensive + Portfolio Development
About the Course
Students will be given supplies and equipment for this intensive.
Students will explore the complete filmmaking process, from developing an idea to editing a final cut. Through guided instruction and hands-on collaboration, they’ll discover how composition, shot design, performance, and sound work together to tell stories on screen.
Students will learn to craft scenes, direct actors, record sound, and create visual rhythm through editing. They’ll explore how a single image can communicate meaning and how a sequence of shots can build atmosphere, emotion, and narrative.
Over the four-week intensive, students will move through each stage of production while developing their creative and technical skills. Working together, they’ll gain experience communicating ideas, solving production challenges, and contributing to a shared artistic vision.
What Students Will Create
Students will collaborate on a short live-action film, taking it from initial concept through production and a finished edit. Their completed film will demonstrate their growing understanding of visual storytelling, sound, performance, and cinematic expression.

This registration will cover the morning intensive only. Afternoon electives and housing will require separate registration.
