BUILDING COHESIVE DESIGNS

This module focuses on creating graphic design in order to engage a target audience. Our projects will integrate various media, such as print, digital, and multi-page formats, combining text with diverse images (illustrations, diagrams, photos, etc.). Students will apply their skills to create multi-asset projects, maintaining brand coherence and integrating elements of motion or interaction. The module will explore how thoughtful combinations of design elements can make a brand, product, or institution memorable, desirable, and inviting to action.

+ Case studies: multiple-asset projects.

+ Branding: identity, consistency, and strategy

+ Audiences needs, behaviors and preferences.

+ The responsibilities of the designer.

+ Intermediate and advanced InDesign.

 

O U T C O M E S

+ Understand and implement principles of branding.

+ Conduct audience and brand analysis in order to determine brand strategies.

+ Implement brand consistency across diverse media brand assets.

+ Design and produce prototypes of diverse assets with branding consistency for presentation.

 

MODULE COMPLETION

This module can be taken independently for focused learning on image-making and visual communication. However, it is designed as part of the Graphic Design Certificate Program, providing a comprehensive foundation in design principles. 

DIGITAL PROFICIENCY BADGE

Students who complete this module will earn a proficiency badge for meeting all requirements. By completing all necessary modules for the Graphic Design Certficiate Program. 

DIGITAL ACHIEVEMENT BADGE + CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

Completion of all 4 Modules will receive a digital badge, as well as the full certificate of completion in the mail 8-12 weeks after your program ends.
