Students in this course will explore personal clown in terms of physical gesture, expressivity, and the presentational aspects of this theatrical form. By investigating the basics of the personal clown, which consists of literally walking into character, using your own physical idiosyncrasies as the underpinning of your clown character. We will then explore the presentational aspects of the form in a technical unit. The underlying methodology of this work is based on improvisation to discover and explore the impulses and actions of your clown.
