Ryan Devlin
Ryan Devlin is a songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer who’s been a part of the fabric of the Seattle music community for decades. He studied music and poetry at the University of Washington, toured the country in DIY punk bands, booked a 300 capacity venue in Seattle, produced concerts and parties for City Arts Magazine, and currently records music for film, advertisements, education, and gaming out of his home studio, The Tiger Room.
His primary songwriting and performing outlet is Smokey Brights, an indie rock band he fronts with his wife Kim West. Smokey Brights have toured the US, mainland Europe and the UK and have released four full lengths on Freakout Records and Nine Mile Records. American Songwriter named Smokey Brights as one of the essential acts to know from the NW, saying: “Their songs are thoughtful, expertly crafted, and touch your heart in the way only a best friend can.” Smokey Brights’ most recent full length I Love You But Damn earned them a spot in the top 90.3 albums of 2020 on KEXP.
