Michael Callaizakis

Michael Callaizakis is a Seattle musician who has lived around the PNW for over 20 years. Originally from the Chicagoland area, he received his B.A from Columbia College where he focused on nature soundscapes combined with environmental science. Before pursuing his Music degree in performance and composition with a mandolin focus (2014 Cornish alum), he was the executive director of a nonprofit educational center in Bellingham, WA that focused on community education. Michael has worked for Cornish College since 2013 and joined the Extension Programs, currently Cornish+, in 2014. He has been working in various educator roles focused on experiential, adult, adaptive, and early education for over 20 years.
