Wooden Box Design & Build
About the Course
In this course, students will design and construct a small wooden box. This could be a desktop box, storage for game pieces, a lined valet box for watches & jewelry, storage for fountain pens & accessories, or simply an art piece.
The boxes can be open, or have a hinged or sliding lid. The interior can be divided, and can be flocked with a soft lining for precious items. Possible joinery details on the box case include mitered corners, rabbeted joints, or butt-joints with exposed dowels.
