Part 1: Interviewing and Camera Techniques

In the first part of this solo documentary filmmaking course, students will absorb the crucial skills of conducting engaging interviews and operating a camera effectively. Through hands-on exercises and role-playing, participants will learn how to prepare interview questions, build rapport with subjects, and capture compelling answers on camera. Additionally, students will gain practical experience in camera operation, understanding composition, framing, and audio recording to ensure they have the technical knowledge needed to produce high-quality footage for their documentary projects.

- Demystifying the tech behind camera operations and how to make the best choices for your work
