In this course, students will look at some of the indigenous species of the Pacific Northwest as we explore various drawing techniques for beginning and intermediate students. Each class we will work with a different group of animals that share similar body types and learn about how to first break them down into simple shapes before tackling subjects like fur and feathers. Most work will be done from photographs, though we will have some genuine specimens (fur, antlers, horns, etc) and education grade osteological reproductions as resources. It's a little bit of anatomy, a little bit of natural history, and a lot of drawing.
